For the experienced optical engineer this Lens Testing Optical Bench is a classical way of testing optics. It is used to test and measure optics used at infinite and finite conjugates. With the use of various attachments many tests can be performed. Visual and photometric tests and evaluations are made of lens assemblies by observing the optical image characteristics. Many physical and optical parameters of your lens assemblies can also be tested. The measured values may be used to correlate with the optical design data. With some practice you will find it relatively easy to use, reliable and repeatable.

This Lens Testing Optical Bench is also used for measuring other characteristics of the lens assembly such as: EFL, BFL, FFL, F/no., entrance and exit pupil diameters and distances, principal planes, spherical aberration, astigmatism, field curvature, distortion, chromatic aberration, coma and more. With the photometric attachments additional tests can be performed such as: radial energy distribution, modulation transfer function, (MTF), resolution, transmission, relative Illumination and much more.
